Received pepper mill to-day...works great..glad to see that fill hole closes in same direction as grind rotation and that there is a tension spring under the grind adjusting nut.... mill grinds lots of pepper as stated in all reviews.... A year of use will be the final test....PS, i will visit kitchenvirtue.com. if i need other items.

After seeing a recommendation on a TV cooking show and reading online reviews, I decided to get the 9" Unicorn Magnum pepper mill. Filling the peppercorns was easy through the large hole on the side. The 9" model has an amazing capacity. My first grind revealed why everyone is raving about this mill. Wow! So much pepper! Great volume and grind quality. A definite must for the serious cook!

Definitely lives up to its reviews, especially with the amount of pepper produced. I'll note that this mill requires significant more torque to turn than other pepper mills, though really only a problem for my 5 year old... Producing a smidgen of pepper is a bit tricky with this mill: it really longs to be generous. The way I like it though!
